Overview
This safari, which focuses on the Masai Mara Reserve, known as Kenya’s national park with the highest concentration of wild animals, is designed for individuals who have limited time but yet want to have a thorough wildlife encounter.
Large mammals and predators find an excellent home in the diverse mix of undulating hills and vast green plains that characterizes the Masai Mara region. Lions are particularly plentiful in the park, providing plenty of chances to see them in action when they’re hunting.
From early July to late September, the Masai Mara hosts the extraordinary natural spectacle known as “The Great Migration” of wildebeests. Conversely, in December and January, the opposite phenomenon unfolds. During these months, witnessing the colossal herds of herbivores attempting to cross the Mara River while navigating predators like lions, lionesses, crocodiles, and cheetahs presents a truly unique and awe-inspiring spectacle.
Beyond its incredible wildlife, the Masai Mara is celebrated for its rich cultural heritage. Visitors have the chance to explore traditional Maasai villages, engaging with the Maasai people and immersing themselves in the vibrant tapestry of their colorful traditions. This safari promises not only an unforgettable encounter with the diverse wildlife of Masai Mara but also an enriching exploration of the region’s cultural treasures.
